I got the sad news today that a sweet friend, Raphael Fraisse, of Parisota Hot Club, is battling leukemia. He is a very warm, beautiful guy from Paris who's made his home here in Minneapolis and into the hearts of the music community. He's an extraordinary violinist who plays fluent Stefan Grapelli with apparent ease and joy.
